The Juan Lindo School in Juticalpa has a new roof and new paint inside and out. Your donations provided the funds and our Island partners "Stepping Up Reaching Out" did all the physical labor.

We just completed our Christmas gift project where we gave gifts to the Clinic Esperanza and Families Saluables.
We are working on project "Cool the School" to purchase air conditioners for the Elfrida Brooks School in Coxen Hole. The classrooms are extremely crowded and get unbearably hot and very buggy during the summer months.
Now for the not so good news.
The past six months have been extremely difficult for the Island of Roatan. Financial aid from the United States and the World Fund has been suspended until the current political situation gets resolved. Roatan has not been the site of demonstrations or unrest, however a travel advisory has frightened away many tourists and thus the dollars that they bring. Combine this with the world wide recession and our ability to help provide services to the Island children has been severely impacted.We ask your help to continue our work . . .
